Last Day of School

SS: What are you doing?
Sp: I'm writing what we did today.
Today Grandpa Charles, Spencer, Solana and Ixchel went to Solana's preschool goodbye sing-along. Then we came home to write about it. Now Ixchel is sleeping in the car. Ixchel has started crinking her neck to one side when she smiles. Spencer video taped Solana's recitel, though his hand wasn't steady and he never did find a very good place to tape from.

I got a rainbow bead and I got my toenails and fingernails painted. My mom didn't paint them so Shashi did, because my mom forgotted to paint my fingernails and toenails. Solana's so excited to be the flowergirl at Spencer and Shashi's wedding.

This weekend Shashi is camping in the Santa Cruz mountians with her Yoga Teacher Training Program. She left today, Friday, at 8:00am and will be coming back Sunday in the afternoon. Soon after she returns, we will be hosting an informal Father's Day supper. Dennis, Shashi's dad, Charles, Spencer's dad, and hopefully Nacho and Isaac will be coming.

We saw two hummingbirds at Spencer and Shashi's house. And we don't know where their cat is at their house.

First Posting

Solana: Do what you want to do.
Sp: I'm happy writing a blog for you.
Solana: I'm going to see Palo again.
Sp: When?
Solana: One mile. He left his car here and his hat here. Look at this pretty bead. And look at this one. Look at these three.
Let's play quietly.
Sp: Ok. I like writing for you. What do you want to do when we go to my house today?
Solana: Play dominos and stuff. And play not just dominos. The others games you have that I can play too. (Sings softly to herself)
Sp: Did you see Grandpa's hurt thumb?
Solana: Yea. It was thousand and thousand and thousands of blood. Did you see it?
Sp: No. Grandpa told me about all the blood and I didn't want to see it.
Solana: (Sifting through my scalp) Your scalp is light. Really light.
